Why, hello there!

Tales From the Misunderstood began a mere three years ago when I took a self-portrait during a wedding, where I gave myself bunny ears.  Suffice to say (besides the default laugh given by my mother), I was the only one smiling!  Why doesn't anyone else think this is pure comedy??  It was then I realized - this is how it has been for most of my life:  being misunderstood. 

So here it is -  from my celebration of "National Speak Like a Pirate Day" to simplifying my life and now sharing my favorite finds on the Internet, inspirational quotes and the like, this tiny little space on the web has become my designated nerd forum.

I hope you enjoy reading these posts as much as I love writing them...

Guilty Pleasure: Bad reality television.

Dislikes:  Dishonesty, arrogance, apathy, superior attitudes, etc.

Can't live without:  My loved ones, a pen, a notebook, my laptop, cell phone, music, coffee, nail polish...

Hopes 'n Dreams:  Traveling, publishing a book, waking up to a beautiful view of the ocean, remembering to laugh each and every single day, living the rest of my life with as little regret as possible...
